[Judy's collection]
Of course, color and shape, size, value and relationship, these are the elements of a primary metaphysics. Blue is for earth/water, red is for humankind, white is spirit and yellow is Spirit.
I just really liked working with the pallet knife and rich oil colors. I liked stretching my own canvas and smelling the gesso drying. Then over the days or weeks, I enjoyed the smell of fresh oil and played the canvas like a drum with my flexible, tacky, knife and the streaking and blending of the colors in the oils. Oh well, I liked painting like this. Now-a-days, it would cost way too much.
Oh well, fun while it lasted.
