Life Drawing

Most of my life drawings were done during my college days and while teaching Advanced Studio Art when I took my students to either University of Redlands or Crafton Hills College for evening life drawing experiences.
I had learned that "if you can draw the human body, you can draw anything." I believe that; of course, I also believe that "an artist is not the person that 'draws' well, it is the person that 'sees' well." So, learning and teaching life drawing is an integral component in learning how to draw what you see.
Life drawing also teaches us about ourselves. I continually discover combinations of images and patterns inherent in the human form that reflect similar images in nature. I see the human body as a landscape; I see the earth as the mirror of the human body both visually and metaphorically.
