Stoneware March 2009

Been working on trying to get my glazes consistent and identifying their working properties. So I've included some comments on the quality of the glazing and the types of things to expect with my hand made products. Every pot is different so I try to title them for recognition however not all the pots I make have controlled refinement and I prefer discovering the subtleties of variation.
So far, I continue to include my hand in the pictures to give a relative size comparison. Sometimes the perspective of a pot up close makes it look bigger than it actually is. I try to show any flaws or blemishes so you can see handmade pottery almost always includes some flaws. As long as the appearance does not hamper the usefulness, I don't eliminate them from my stock. Sometimes I will sell them for much less if no other customers want them. Each pot has its own character that reflects the person who chooses to use it.
