Comments welcome (sorry, email only)
Re-defined copy January 2010.
Images have been enhanced to achieve the most accurate representation of the original colors and designs. Drawings had to be enhanced through contrast but the originals are much more natural than they appear on screen. Throughout the albums, I have included various observations and explanations about most of the pieces of work that I show. I'd gladly answer any inquires about the work. All commentaries are strictly my own points of view and willfulness to express an attitudinal stance. You could say, . . . "no excuses for brazenness and arrogance." But, now that I have become an artist, post-teaching experience, I have learned that there is a particular self-ish-ness to this discipline. Somehow this work came into being through me and (for some reason) I tell myself that what's left behind is basically, meaningful clutter. I don't know if there is true meaning in it or not. Perhaps being an artist is also about trying to find out if there is meaning and is it being created by our art or being reflected in our art?
I wrote: "On-line portfolios: tiny windows shining lights on your mirror."
I wrote: "When my visual sense sees only mirrors and I, myself, am a mirror, the reflection becomes endless. You may not see what I see in my art, but you will see what you see. If you see any of you in there, thanks for being with me."
"Only Art can realize the non-existence of reality."
Before I even knew it, my art was an actuation of intent to share images and objects of contemplation open for interpretation and appreciation. Many of the earlier works are from project based activities generated by my studies of art. Many of the works in progress will begin to appear as they are completed. Go to the album on "Current Showings" to catch up on the latest. Thanks for visiting.
